Rarest World — the rarest place on Earth

An Earth-observation console. A scan line sweeps the night side of the planet and ignites a ping for every rare natural or orbital coincidence inside its observation window. Open a ping and you get the physics behind it, the conditions that had to line up, and the odds of all of them holding at once — each condition with its own chance. The windows are curated scheduling, not observation: nothing here reports what is happening now.

This is a curated catalogue of 97 documented phenomena — aurora driven to mid-latitudes, milky seas, brinicles, penitentes, catatumbo lightning, synchronous fireflies, moonbows, sailing stones — and a SPACE class of astronomical events anchored to the ground you would have to be standing on: totality tracks and Baily’s beads, transits of Venus and Mercury, lunar and asteroid occultations, great comets, the gegenschein. Each carries its position, observation window, the conditions it needs and field notes. It is not a live sensor feed and never claims to be.
